LONDON.- Our love of cars follows many paths: one of the less trodden is taken by those people who so love a car that they put it away for 50 years in a garage or barn under a tarpaulin rather than part with it. Maybe this shows as much love as those who spend fortunes restoring such cars?
In the next
H&H Classics sale on September 16 these two groups have a chance to connect briefly when three cars which have been in storage for between three and five decades each true barn finds - come to auction. The trio of sleeping beauties will thus have a chance of attracting buyers / restorers who will relish the challenge of bringing them back to life.
The cars are a Jaguar, a Rover and a Singer. There is something a bit magical about finding cars like these and bringing them out of hibernation for a brief moment in the auction spotlight, and once sold whisked off to a new owners restoration garage for a transformation that may take months, perhaps years.
Damian Jones, Head of Sales with H&H says: Each of these cars would justify some serious TLC as each is a collectors piece worthy of restoration.
