NEW YORK, NY.- Christie’s Jewels announces the global sales calendar for June & July 2020 to include live and online auctions in all major sale sites spanning Geneva, Hong Kong, London, New York, and Paris.

A total of nine auctions are planned, five live and four online, beginning with Jewels Online in New York (16-30 June) and ending with Important Jewels in London (30 July). The global sales will collectively feature over 1,000 jewels, including a significant selection of colorless diamonds, colored diamonds, and rare gemstones, along with signed creations by Belperron, Bulgari, Cartier, Graff, Harry Winston, JAR, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and Verdura, with estimates ranging from $5,000 to $8m.

Online Auction: New York | Jewels Online | 16-30 June 2020

The June edition of Jewels Online (16 to 30 June) features over 150 lots of fine jewels from antique to contemporary. All major jewelry houses are represented, including Boucheron, Bulgari, Cartier, David Webb, Graff, JAR, Tiffany & Co., and Verdura. Spanning a range of price points, this online auction features a broad selection of fine jewels and iconic designs sure to delight seasoned collectors and enthusiast alike. Online Auction: Geneva | 101 Cartier Clocks | 7 to 21 July 2020
This sale will present a unique collection of 101 Cartier Clocks spanning more than 80 years of clockmaking at Cartier. This collection was created over a period of 30 years, with every clock receiving their rightful place in this once in a lifetime collection. The pre-sale estimate for the entire collection is CHF 3.9 million to CHF 5.7 million, with individual estimates starting at CHF 8,000. Browse sale here.

Online Auction: Hong Kong | Diamonds That Care | 3 to 13 July 2020
An online auction of three stunning pieces of jewellery, created by Anna Hu, will take place from July 3 -13 with proceeds going to support healthcare workers fighting against the coronavirus. The pieces will be sold by Diamonds That Care, the newly launched social responsibility initiative of Alrosa, the world’s largest diamond mining company. The initiative’s main idea is that every diamond should help those in need. Ms. Hu created these unique pieces exclusively for this charity project using rich brown diamonds extracted by Alrosa in Yakutia, a region in the Siberian Far East. Proceeds from the sale will assist healthcare workers who continue to work at the center of efforts to combat the pandemic. The project is organized in cooperation with the non-profit charitable organization Diamonds Do Good.

Paris: Live Auction | Fine Jewels | 8 July 2020
The July jewels live auctions begin with Paris Fine Jewels on July 8. The Paris sale will offer over 200 lots featuring a selection of significant gemstones and signed pieces, spanning René Boivin, Suzanne Belperron, Bulgari, Cartier, Chaumet, Mauboussin, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Verdura. The top lot is a rare Kashmir Sapphire and Diamond Ring of 5.57 carats, by Verdura (€270,000-300,000). Other notable highlights include a Rare Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Ring of 14.40 carats, by Cartier (€80,000-120,000); an Art Deco Emerald and Diamond Bracelet, by Chaumet (€50,000-70,000); and a splendid Fancy Vivid Yellow Diamond Ring of 5.45 carats with Sapphires and Diamonds, by Mauboussin (€100,000-150,000). Featured private collections include Property from a Private European Collector comprising important signed pieces by Chaumet, Cartier, and Verdura, Property from The Artist Paul Brandt features beautiful jeweled objects and cufflinks, and Property from the Family Danny Kaye includes rare David Webb jewels from the celebrated actor. The Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels sale presents a spectacular selection of diamonds and colored gemstones for the upcoming live auction on July 9 at Alexandra House. Leading the sale is a 12.11 Carats Fancy Intense Blue/IF Diamond Ring (HK$65,000,000 - 95,000,000/ US$8,000,000 - 12,000,00) from a distinguished private collection. Radiating a beautiful sky-blue hue with the greatest degree of fire and brilliance, this marquise brilliant-cut internally flawless coloured diamond is undoubtedly one of the most collectible gems in the market. The Geneva Magnificent Jewels auction will offer nearly 200 lots featuring a significant selection of colored and colorless diamonds, and gemstones, along with signed jewels spanning the 19th century through to present day. The July 22 sale is led by sensational diamonds including a Twin-Stone Fancy Vivid Blue and D color Diamond Ring, by Reza, (CHF 8,000,000-12,000,000); and two unmounted diamonds over 100 carats, a Superb Fancy Intense Yellow Diamond of 104.04 Carats (CHF 2,500,000-3,500,000) and a Shield Mixed-Shaped D color, Internally Flawless Diamond of 100.85 Carats (CHF 3,500,000-4,500,000). Additional highlights include a rare example of an Art Deco brooch by Bulgari, set with a 30.30 Carat Sri Lankan Sapphire (CHF 250,000-350,000), a Superb 30 Carat Colombian Emerald purchased at Harry Winston in the 1950s, and important Art Deco jewels by Cartier. The July 29 auction is led by a sensational Diamond Pendant Necklace of 115.83 Carats, F Color, VVS1 Clarity ($5,000,000-7,000,000). The London Important Jewels auction on 30 July features a group of important antique jewels including four tiaras and other items with royal and aristocratic provenance as well as a wide array of signed contemporary jewels, natural pearls, diamonds and coloured stones. Presenting over 200 lots, with estimates ranging from £2,000 to £420,000, highlights include a fine Kashmir sapphire and diamond ring of 9.11 carats (£420,000-580,000), an early 20th century diamond tiara, attributed to Cartier (£200,000-300,000), a Colombian emerald and diamond ring of 10.34 carats (£40,000-60,000) and a late 19th century natural pearl and diamond tiara (£25,000-35,000).
