HONG KONG.- Sotheby’s will present Contemporary Showcase: MEET AllRightsReserved, a charity online auction curated in collaboration with Hong Kong-based creative studio AllRightsReserved, featuring an exciting assemblage of limited-edition collectibles and unique works by some of the most sought-after artists and designers of our generation. Highlights include a one-of-its-kind sculpture of Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman’s yellow rubber duck, which was exclusively displayed in the public art exhibition of “Rubber Duck Project: HK Tour” in 2013 when its colossal counterpart floated in Hong Kong’s famed Victoria Harbour; alongside limited-edition collectibles and original artwork by KAWS, VERDY, Yu Nagaba, David Shrigley and more.

Established in 2003, AllRightsReserved has designed and organized iconic projects across Asia for leading artists and international labels. In addition to bringing Hofman’s rubber ducks to Hong Kong, the studio curated countless sensational pop culture moments in different cities including the art tour of the colossal KAWS:HOLIDAY since 2018, and a flash mob performance featuring more than 10,000 Mr. Moncler 19-inch figurines in 2017. Collectibles from both events will also be on offer at this online auction.

AllRightsReserved will donate all proceeds to TWGHs “Share Love & Fight the Epidemic” Donation Campaign for Short Term Financial Aid, in support of families with members who have lost their jobs or businesses due to COVID-19, or have been infected by COVID-19, but have not applied for Comprehensive Social Security Assistance. The online auction is open for bidding 9 June 10am HKT till 16 June 11am HKT.

Yuki Terase, Sotheby’s Head of Contemporary Art, Asia, comments: “Sotheby’s themed auctions have always been the foremost destination for tastemakers across art, pop culture, business and fashion. Similarly, AllRightsReserved is known for its innovative projects that not only garner unparalleled interest from trend-setters but also the public citizenry at large. We are delighted to collaborate with AllRightsReserved for ‘Contemporary Showcase’, our latest curated series of “pop-up” online auctions, in support of those affected by the epidemic in Hong Kong.”

SK Lam, Creative Director of AllRightsReserved, adds: “We are very excited to join Sotheby’s for the first time and present these iconic collectibles to the world. Many of these works represent a precious, shared memory for us since our start up, and it is extra meaningful to be able to donate our proceeds from the sale for a good cause in the local community.”
