MILAN.- After the temporary closure of the exhibition spaces due to the health crisis,
Pirelli HangarBicocca will be reopening its doors to the public on Saturday 23 May. Visitors will be able to visit ....the Illuminating Gas, an exhibition by Cerith Wyn Evans (b. Llanelli, Wales, United Kingdom, 1958) in the Navate. The Shed, meanwhile, is hosting the eye, the eye and the ear by Trisha Baga (b. Venice, Florida, 1985). In addition, there is the permanent installation of The Seven Heavenly Palaces 2004-2015 by Anselm Kiefer (b. Donaueschingen, Germany, 1945).
The Pirelli HangarBicocca team has been working to ensure the implementation of all safety measures and that works can be properly viewed. The exhibition spaces, which extend over fifteen thousand square metres, lend themselves perfectly to the social distancing rules, ensuring a risk-free visit. Entry will be staggered in number and frequency and the exit will be in a separate area in order to prevent gatherings, however, online booking will not be necessary. Guidelines for visitors are now online and will be on display in the gallery.
The space, located in Via Chiese in Milan, will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 10.30 AM to 8.30 PM. This will be for a still undetermined period after which the usual opening times from Thursday to Sunday will be restored. Reaffirming its commitment to making art open and accessible to all, especially at this critical time, Pirelli HangarBicocca continues to offer free admission both to the exhibitions and permanent works.
In addition, Trisha Bagas exhibition has been extended until 10 January 2021, with the opening of the exhibition of works by Neïl Beloufa set for February 2021. The opening of the Chen Zhen exhibition is currently confirmed for October. The exhibition calendar is as follows:
