New dates for fifth edition of WopArt - Works on Paper Fair
The fair will still be held in the pavilions of the Lugano Exhibition Centre.

LUGANO.- The fifth edition of WopArt – Works on Paper Fair, International fair dedicated to works of art on paper has been postponed to 27th -29th November 2020 (preview: Thursday 26th november).

The fair will still be held in the pavilions of the Lugano Exhibition Centre.

The decision to postpone the fair – originally planned for 18th-20th September – came about from the need to safeguard the health of visitors, exhibitors, collectors and citizens, in response to the evolving spread of Covid-19.

Alberto Rusconi, WopArt president stated: “We are doing everything possible to find the best solution to protect the fair and consolidate WopArt which by now has become the most important fair dedicated to works of art on paper in the world. Our priority is to guarantee the health and the best possible conditions to our exhibitors, visitors and collectors.”.

“September” added Paolo Manazza, WopArt Global Director, “will certainly be a month characterized by a substantial, and perhaps excessive, number of appointments, exhibitions and fairs. For this reason we are motivated by our desire to give, as much as possible, our exhibitors and collectors the opportunity to operate in the utmost tranquillity.”

For over a month now, the organising body, in agreement with the Scientific Committee, the group BolognaFiere Spa and the Lugano city Council are working intensively, together with the stakeholder to allow the event to be reorganised while completely guaranteeing the quality of the exhibition, that in the last few years has been able to consolidate both the fair and a surprising and very significant growth.

The organizers are certain that after the terrible experience we are currently going through, a new and more conscious love for art, also as a form of alternative investment, will help to further develop and increase both art market and the number of collectors and art lovers.
