LOS ANGELES, CA.- Director and Photographer Braden Summers proudly announces the release of “Frame of Mind: Elevate,” a new short film celebrating the resilience, joy and perseverance of the trans community, entirely shot in a single frame and one take.

Inspired by the systemic injustices and social microaggressions that trans people experience while expressing their gender identity, “Frame of Mind: Elevate” aims to humanize members of the trans community and help eradicate bigotry.

Summer’s latest project, the single-frame short film features a trans heroine on her four-minute elevator ride in a busy New York City apartment building and explores the wide spectrum of human behavior that trans people experience in daily life.

By featuring the characters’ visible reactions as they ride the elevator alongside the heroine, the audience is led to confront their own interpretations of the protagonist and how their feelings might compare to those of the characters in the film.

“Through the casts’ variety, we may see ourselves and experience a reflection of our actions, helping us better confront our own biases, diminish ignorance and champion our ability to treat others equally for the betterment of all,” said Summers. “This understanding may spark inspiration to help change hearts and minds for an equal and beautiful experience of social justice.”

The film’s cinematically rich colors and luxe fashion details invite the audience to consider a delicate subject matter presented in an alluring and entertaining way, while raising awareness to ignite internal discussions and public dialogue.
