Innovative Upgrades to Make Your Workplace Better and More Efficient

We all need to work. In the modern age, we’re always trying to get to the next goal. Whether it’s a quarterly earnings call, a writing deadline, or a sales quota, we all need to get ahead. There are more and more things in today’s work environment that are taking away time from actual work. This may be some of the creature comforts of the day like cellphones. It can also be the amount of random chit chat people have while on the clock. There’s something to be able to focus on a singular task and complete it in record time. It allows one to enjoy the rest of the day, not haphazardly string together time to get something done. If you’re trying to improve your productivity, design and innovation have the means and ways to help you get to that next goal.

Control Sun Exposure
If you’ve ever noticed a casino, they don’t have any windows. Why? Because there’s something in our head that tells us to go with the flow of the sun as our body clock somewhat responds to sunlight. When we can’t see it, we can set our own time and our own schedule. In essence, this is a reason why you'd tint an office window rather than keeping it clear, which is very beneficial to someone who has a shifting work schedule. Tinting windows can give us the freedom to work outside of that biological impediment.

Stay at Optimal Temperature
Keeping the workplace at the ideal temperature can impact the productivity of the employees. It is suggested that the optimal workplace temperature should be between 20-25 degrees Celsius. The difference of just a few degrees can make an employee uncomfortable and an unsatisfied employee will most likely slack off. It is advisable to install a thermostat so they can adjust it to their liking or talk between themselves and decide the right temperature. Humidity is also a factor that can affect the temperature of a workplace, so having a humidifier and dehumidifier on hand can be convenient as you can control the levels of humidity in the area. Consider investing in a good dehumidifier, such as these from unclutterer, that will help you to reduce the humidity level of your workplace.

Create Health Incentives
Incentives have always been a staple for work. Nobody works for free. Aside from the actual setting of the workplace, having them know that their health and wellbeing are kept in mind makes the employees want to do well and be productive. It’s not just the paycheck. Promoting health and wellness incentives is both a cheap and effective way to get people on board with the team. On top of that, a healthier and happier workforce can get more done together, in record time.

Innovation is not just about adding more machines and more technology to the work environment. It’s about finding simple solutions to tackle some of the gaps in productivity. We can create cohesion with health. We can regulate temperature and work-time perception with sun control. These are the ways that offices can be more efficient while at the same time, not break the bank.
