MILAN.- miart, the international modern and contemporary art fair organized by Fiera Milano, announced the first edition of the INNSiDE Prize.
Conceived as a new partnership between miart and the Hotel INNSiDE By Melia Milano Torre GalFa, the prize of Euro 8.000 will be awarded to the gallery which presents the best solo or two-person exhibition during miart 2020. The award is designed to encourage support for artists whose work helps to focus the eyes of the art world on the pressing issues of our time, with a particular emphasis on social inclusion, environmental sustainability, global changes and new interpretations of the concept of identity.
Hosting 183 galleries from 20 countries, miart will showcase works by modern masters, contemporary established artists, emerging talents, and renowned and experimental designers across its sections, providing a forum for dialogue between modern art, contemporary art and collectable design.
The Established Contemporary section will feature solo shows by Nebojsa Despotovic (Boccanera, Trento Milan), Remo Salvadori (BUILDING, Milan), Imran Qureshi (Corvi-Mora, London), Nicole Gravier (Ermes-Ermes, Vienna), John Chamberlain (Karsten Greve, St. Moritz Paris Cologne), Andreas Fogarasi (Federico Luger, Milan), Simon Starling (Franco Noero, Turin), Mounir Fatmi (Officine dell'Immagine, Milan), Luigi Carboni (OTTO Gallery, Milan), Paul Graham (Anthony Reynolds, London), Jody Paulsen (Smac, Cape Town Johannesburg Stellenbosch), Allison Zuckerman (Stems, Brussels Luxembourg), and Giovanni Kronenberg (Z2o Sara Zanin, Rome).
