LONDON.- Ever wondered what it would be like to sleep on another planet? The Design Museum invites you to experience one extraordinary night on Mars in an exclusive stay that’s out of this world in its new blockbuster exhibition.

It takes around eight months to reach Mars – and you’ll be greeted by freezing temperatures, unbreathable air and cosmic radiation. Cut out the travel and inhospitable surroundings and keep all the magic as you explore the untouched beauty of the Martian landscape and the innovative designs that will be needed to get us there.

For the very first time, one lucky winner and their guest will go behind the scenes for a whole night at the Design Museum on 17 January 2020. The one of a kind sleepover experience begins with a VIP guided tour of the Moving to Mars exhibition – featuring a full scale model of the European Space Agency’s ExoMars rover before it travels to Mars in 2020; the NDX-1 spacesuit, the first spacesuit designed for Mars and the chance to gaze at the very first map of Mars.

Followed by space-themed dining on the surface of Mars in the ‘On Mars Today’ multi-sensory installation, complete with a spectacular view of the Red Planet itself.

Step inside a full-scale Mars Habitat designed by HASSELL and see what it would be like to live on Mars. Peak out of the window while you relax on a 3D-printed chaise lounge, rifle through the essential designs that we’ll need to thrive on Mars and experience a Martian windstorm from the comfort of your protective pod.

Get ready for bed in lounge-wear by responsible design company RÆBURN, settle into a private screening of a Martian movie and snooze under the stars on a luxury bed by eve sleep. Return to Planet Earth with an indulgent breakfast in bed and take home an exclusive Design Museum sleepover goody bag.

To enter, share what your first words would be if you were the first astronaut to set foot on Mars. Visit designmuseum.org before midnight on 19 December to take part. One winner will be selected at random.

Are you ready for your Martian adventure?
