Secretary at Royal Academy of Arts Quits |

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM.- Lawton Fitt, secretary at the Royal Academy of Arts, announced she is to quit from her post after 30 months. Miss Fitt did not state the reason for her decision. David Gordon, her predecessor, recently stated that due to the "absence of long-term planning
everything is in crisis" at the academy. There recently was a financial scandal where an audit found that £80,000 was not properly accounted for and academician Prof Brendan Neiland resigned. Next week the members of the academy will vote to replace president Philip King who resigned last month.
