ROME, ITALY.- A painting by artist Michel Angelo Pacetti shows a parade of French troops on St. Peter' Square at the Vatican displayed during an exhibition of papal portraits from the Renaissance to Pope John Paul II in Rome 29 November 2004. The works, paintings and sculptures created by artists like Raphael and Bernini are presented in chronological order to recount the history of the papacy, from the Renaissance to the present day.
