MALAGA, SPAIN.- Centro de Arte Contemporáneo Málaga will be showing an exhibition of Lorna Simpson`s work from 19th November until 23rd January 2005. Lorna Simpson (b.1960) is one of the United States` leading African-American artists. Using photography and texts and more recently film, Simpson raises profound questions about how we represent, see and communicate with each other and ourselves. Phaidon publish the first comprehensive monograph on Simpson`s work, released to coincide with her solo exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, the Studio Museum, Harlem, New York, and Documenta 11, Kassel, Germany in 2002.
