COPENHAGEN, DENMARK.- The National Museum of Photography presents South African Photography in Copenhagen. Det Nationale Fotomuseum, Cophenhagen, Denmark will be putting on a group show of 8 South African photographers, Jodi Bieber, Adam Broomberg & Oliver Chanarin, David Goldblatt, Santu Mofokeng, Jo Ractliffe, Guy Tillim and Nontsikelelo `Lolo` Veleko until 12th February 2005.
Phaidon publish an elegant, affordable introduction to the work of photographer David Goldblatt (b.1930) who explores South African society with dignity and intelligence. He has been described as having `acute historical and political perception`; his images reveal the country`s complexities and nuances. His award-winning work has been widely published and exhibited.
