NEW YORK, NY.- Cultured announces the release of its first annual Living Legends issue bringing together luminaries, mavericks and rebels from fashion, film, art and architecture. The issue launches with four covers featuring contemporary icons Thom Browne, Tracee Ellis Ross, Arthur Jafa and Denise Scott Brown.

“I’m excited to launch our very first Living Legends issue—dedicated to those individuals and modern myths who seem to walk untethered between disciples, paving the way for others to do the same,” states CULTURED Editor in Chief Sarah Harrelson. “They are visionaries who understand that intelligence is rounded rather than linear.”

American fashion designer and three-time CFDA Designer of the Year Thom Browne was photographed by artist Cass Bird and speaks to Fiona Duncan on his rise from competitive athlete to couture modern myth.

Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross was photographed by Shaniqwa Jarvis and shares her inspirations from art and artists with Killian Wright Jackson.

Artist, filmmaker, cinematographer Arthur Jafa speaks to poet Morgan Parker on his epic work navigating the black experience in America and his most 2019 Venice Golden Lion win.

Legendary architect, planner and urban designer Denise Scott Brown sits down with Anna Kats on over half a century of influencing designers and thinkers in architecture and theory; photographed by Eva O'Leary.

The issue also features established and emerging creatives: a visual diary from poet Eileen Myles, poem by C.A. Conrad, artist Karen Kilimnik's first interview since 2011 and an interview with Destiny Frasqueri of Princess Nokia fame shot by Adrienne Raquel.
