| Breakfast In The Park - Celebrate Art Basel Miami Beach |

MIAMI, FLORIDA.- The Martin Z. Margulies Sculpture Park in conjunction with The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum present the second annual Breakfast In The Park in celebration of Art Basel Miami Beach, on Sunday, December 5, 2004 from 9:00am to 12:30pm. Breakfast In The Park is an official Art Basel sponsored event. RSVP is strongly suggested; please call 305-348-1899. County buses will be offered as free transportation for Art Basel patrons and the general public. The buses will pick up riders at the Miami Beach Convention Center Hall D at 9:30 a.m., and return to the Convention Center around noon.
Guests will enjoy a complimentary outdoor breakfast, in addition to a guided tour of the world renowned Martin Z. Margulies collection featuring sculptures by over 75 artists including Willem de Kooning, Louise Nevelson, Donald Judd, Richard Serra, Jean Dubuffet, Isamu Noguchi, and many others, located throughout the subtropical landscape of the Florida International University campus. Additionally that morning, the Frost Art Museum will host celebrated novelist Edwidge Danticat in the closing event for the acclaimed exhibition, Lespri Endepandan: Discovering Haitian Sculpture. Eloquently evoking the wonder of her native Haiti, Danticat’s novels explore the intersections of race, class, language and gender in transnational and post-colonial Haiti. Ms. Danticat will be signing copies and reading from her new release, The Dew Breaker.
The Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International University is an AAM accredited university museum and Smithsonian affiliate. All museum events are free and open to the public. The Frost Art Museum is located in PC110 in the Charles Perry building, SW 107th Ave and 8th St at the Florida International University, University Park campus.
