Stolen Brazilian art is recovered

SAO PAULO, BRAZIL.- Brazilian police have recovered more than 20 stolen art works. The works were made by artists such as Aldo Bonadei. Three men were arrested for the theft that took place in March. The thieves, Claudio Sabongi, brother Marcelo and nephew Mario were caught when trying to sell the paintings back to the original owners. The works allegedly belonged to art collector Graziela Lafer Galvao. The paintings were discovered in a black bin bag in front of a church in Sao Paulo. Mrs Galvao's family sent nearly 2,000 emails to museums and art collectors around the world telling them about the theft, according to Aldo Galiano, the police inspector in charge of the case.
