Autobiography of a Hoarder: The Collection of Martin Cohen, Part 1
Sunday, October 21 at 10AM, 206 lots
The Collection of Martin Cohen is a rich olio of American and European decorative arts, sculpture and lighting, antiquities, and other works of art that have inspired Cohen, such as that of the renowned outsider sculptor William Edmondson, the first African American artist to be given a one person show at the Museum of Modern Art. The collection on sale bespeaks Cohens particular focus on the Aesthetic Movement and his passion for the work of Lockwood de Forest, Herter Brothers and Louis Comfort Tiffany.
