NEW YORK, NY.- All aboard for Fall auction season! New auctions are getting added everyday - shaping up September to be an exciting one. From rare collectibles to impressive works of art, collectors and connoisseurs will be busy this Fall on Bidsquare. Highlights include Western and American fine art, rare toys, modern design, Asian works of art and more.

Headlining Pook's toy auction is a Carette #2350 clockwork passenger train set. In excellent condition with little play wear, this perhaps once playful toy turned in to a collector's item has an estimate of $15,000-18,000.

Rago brings an exceptional vase by Peter Voulkos to auction in its Modern Ceramics + Glass sale. Peter Voulkos is widely considered one of the most important and influential American ceramicists of the 20th century and is credited with bridging the divide between ceramic craft and fine art. Voulkos' expressionist creations typically command the highest prices at auction.

Rago is hauling in a Massive Sculpture Front cabinet by Paul Evans in their Modern Design sale on September 24. Classic of Evans' finest work, this piece shows how he deployed his training in welding, metallurgy, and jewelry design to sculpt brutal and beautiful furniture in metal – work that prefigured the art furniture movement today.

In Fine Art, Leslie Hindman Auctioneers brings Winslow Homer's Coming Through the Rye across the block for their American and European Art auction, with an estimate of $400,000-600,000. At the time he created this work, Homer had a reputation as an illustrator, but was still struggling to find his way as a painter, and this painting richly illuminates his struggle to reconcile different artistic approaches.

The title “Coming Through the Rye” is drawn from a poem by Robert Burns, describing a woman who is captured by a lover while coming through a field of rye. The title makes explicit a romantic undercurrent to the painting, which was surely a large part of its appeal to 19th century viewers.

Moving over to modern art, Hiro Fine Art brings a work by Robert Rauschenberg in their Curated Sale of Important Paintings, Prints and Sculpture auction exclusively on Bidsquare. Rauschenberg was continually passionate about experimentation in art media. Cock Sure is an extension of his curiosity, applying paint directly onto the glass surface, increasing the depth of the work so that it became three-dimensional. The artwork was created in the 1990s, when the artist was experimenting with photo transference, which can be seen in this mixed media piece. The work is characteristically by Rauschenberg as seen through the inclusion of everyday images: an open sign, chickens, a windmill, and a dog resting by a brick wall.

Switching to wearable art, Leslie Hindman Auctioneers features a Silver Topped Gold, Burmese Ruby and Diamond Bib Necklace among many other highlights in their upcoming three day Fine Jewelry auction September 10-12. The necklace contains 21 oval mixed cut rubies in total.

Sure to cause some commotion, Skinner brings an impressive Pair of Large Bronze and Cloisonné Roosters to auction in their Asian Works of Art sale on September 15. The roosters come from China, originally purchased at Foochow Art Co., Hong Kong, May 1983.

Rounding out our highlights is Brunk Auctions September Premier Auction headliner, The Bronco Buster by Frederic Sackrider Remington, estimated at $150,000-250,000. The Henry-Bonnard bronze, an 1899 casting, is number 51 of an approximate edition of 64. The Bronco Buster is Remington’s debut cast as a sculptor and is one of his most iconic works of art. An 1899 casting numbered "55" is held by the Art Institute of Chicago. Various castings of The Bronco Buster can be seen at the Smithsonian Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, among others.
