GLASGOW.- As part of the Frank Quitely: The Art of Comics exhibition on now at Kelvingrove, icon of the comic book world Frank Quitely launched Jupiter’s Legacy Vol 2 with a special Q&A session and book signing on Wednesday 30 August.

Comics publisher Millarworld produced an exclusive Kelvingrove cover for the latest volume of the epic superhero saga, which details the series’ climax of the war raging between the super-villains and heroes. The exclusive cover edition can only be purchased from the museum and was produced in a limited run of just 300 copies.

Fans were able to hear directly from Quitely and ask questions during the Q&A hosted by well-known Scottish author, broadcaster and journalist Muriel Gray, and also have their new books signed by Quitely.

Quitely spoke about his work for Scottish publications Electric Soup and Millarworld, his illustrations of iconic characters such as Superman, Batman and the X-Men, and the rich history of comic book illustration that has developed in Scotland.

Frank Quitely said: "I'm delighted that Millarworld was able to create an exclusive Kelvingrove edition of the book, and that fans of the series were able to join us at the launch and enjoy the Q&A, signing and exhibition. It was fantastic to see so many comics lovers there!”

There is just one month left to view Frank Quitely: The Art of Comics, which is the largest collection of Frank Quitely’s work ever displayed and features original artwork from titans of the comic book industry. The exhibition, which runs until 1 October 2017, has already attracted over 40,000 visitors.
