Piguet Auction House announces the launch of its first Chic Summer Sale
The aim of the auction house is to reach out to a new clientele by bringing a traditional auction on to the virtual platform of internet.

GENEVA.- With the era of e-business in full flight, Piguet Auction House has found an original and novel solution on the art market to move with the times. The first online auction and aptly named ‘Chic Summer Sale’ has just been launched. The contemporary style photographs and vibrant brochure created by a graphic designer project the jewellery, watches and luxury handbags out of the pages with refreshing zest.

The aim of the auction house is to reach out to a new clientele by bringing a traditional auction on to the virtual platform of internet. Photographs of jewellery being worn also afford clients an idea of what it would look like on their own hand. To cater to the wider public who may prefer to leave written bids or see lots first hand, viewings have been organised in Geneva and for the first time, a second exhibition will be open in Lausanne. With estimates ranging from CHF 50 to CHF 6'000, buyers will be able to bid at the touch of a button on any of the 608 lots presented with a global estimate of CHF 350,000 – CHF 500,000.

Luxury brands
The jewellery collection is fashionable and summery. There is no lacking of pieces by Italian jeweller Bulgari and Cartier’s signature collections Trinity and Panthère are well represented. Well-known brands Hermès, Tiffany & Co, Bucherer, etc. provide Compo Hermèseven more choice in recognisable contemporary jewellery and more select brands such as Grisogono, Pomellato, Gilbert Albert and Victoria Casal will attract those seeking something a little different.

Great watches
Watch collectors will discover a fine selection of recent and vintage wristwatches by the likes of Chopard, Patek Phillippe, Omega and Pomellato. The star lot of the sale is the rose gold and diamond Omega DeVille, estimated at CHF 6,000 (lot 173-small173). Many Rolex models are also on offer such as Oyster Perpetual, Milgauss and GMT- Master II (lots 165 to 168, estimates CHF 900 to CHF 3,000).

My vintage handbag
The sale presents a range of vintage and contemporary handbags as well as some limited edition examples for good measure. The bags have been selected either for their bright colours or for their pale tones to suit any summer occasion. From practical cross-body shoulder bags to charming clutches, these fashionable bags adorn the pages of piguet.com with a vast choice between Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Valentino or Ferragamo!

The sale also includes a large selection of pens by Montblanc, Cartier and Dupont as well as fashion accessories which certainly will not go unnoticed.
