Piguet Auction House has found an original and novel solution on the art market to move with the times. The first online auction and aptly named ‘Chic Summer Sale’ has just been launched. The contemporary style photographs and vibrant brochure created by a graphic designer project the jewellery, watches and luxury handbags out of the pages with refreshing zest.
The aim of the auction house is to reach out to a new clientele by bringing a traditional auction on to the virtual platform of internet. Photographs of jewellery being worn also afford clients an idea of what it would look like on their own hand. Watch collectors will discover a fine selection of recent and vintage wristwatches by the likes of Chopard, Patek Phillippe, Omega and Pomellato. The star lot of the sale is the rose gold and diamond Omega DeVille, estimated at CHF 6,000 (lot 173-small173). Many Rolex models are also on offer such as Oyster Perpetual, Milgauss and GMT- Master II (lots 165 to 168, estimates CHF 900 to CHF 3,000).

The sale presents a range of vintage and contemporary handbags as well as some limited edition examples for good measure. The bags have been selected either for their bright colours or for their pale tones to suit any summer occasion.
