New website kick-starts new era for Bellevue Arts Museum

BELLEVUE, WA.- Bellevue Arts Museum unveiled its new website on Thursday, December 15, 2016, a threshold event in the museum's strategic plan to strengthen support and expand its reach. The new website brings BAM a state-of-the-art digital marketing tool, and it is an illustration of the museum's focus on art, craft, and design.

BAM will be launching a $9 million fund-raising campaign in 2017, and the new website is a critical tool for the campaign's success. Site design and development were gifts from The Garrigan Lyman Group (GLG), a Seattle-based digital marketing agency.

"As we kick off our fund-raising campaign, it was important to have the site up and ready at the start," said Karin Kidder, Interim Executive Director. "We're thankful for the extremely generous gift from GLG."

Leading the project at GLG was Executive Creative Director Kalie Kimball-Malone, who says there was a fundamental flip in top billing from the old site to the new. "We really wanted the art to be the star," said Kalie. "We designed and developed the site to show off big, beautiful, and engaging images from each of the exhibitions, and put it all on a flexible platform that makes updating content easy for BAM staff."

GLG Principal and Cofounder Rebecca A. Lyman adds that there's more to the new site than just stunning good looks. "The site's intuitive navigation will make it easier to find exhibitions, become a member, or donate," said Rebecca. "And the new site will help the museum get even closer to artists, educators, and families that help drive the arts culture in the region."

The Garrigan Lyman Group (GLG) is a strategic digital agency with offices in Seattle, New York City and Boise featuring an award-winning team of strategists, storytellers, and innovators. Offering services that include integrated advertising, content marketing, social, UX and website development, and digital retail, GLG focuses on moving brands forward.
