BERLIN.- With more than 100 fine art auctions in 2016, the leading online auction platform for art and luxury collectibles Auctionata looks back at an eventful art year. For the fine art finale, Auctionata will present 14 livestream auctions from November 23 through December 14 spanning all epochs from Old Master paintings, 19th and 20th Century art, iconic photography, prints and editions to contemporary works. Art lovers will be able to follow each of the auctions, and bid live from anywhere in the world online via www.auctionata.com and the Auctionata Live iPhone app.

The auction series will begin with Selected works by Dieter Blum on November 23 at 6 pm CET. Dieter Blum is one of the most famous German photographers, who gained international recognition with his iconic Marlboro Man photographs. During the live online auction, the artist will be present to share insights into his work with the audience. In total, the auction will feature 88 works.

The auction series will continue with Old Master and 19th Century Paintings on November 28 at 6 pm CET. This auction will feature highlights such as a still life by Francesco Noletti, an atmospheric landscape painting by Edmund Hottenroth as well as a well-preserved etching by Bernardo Beletto from 1748.

The following day will be dedicated to Impressionism and Modern Art at 6 pm CET, a particularly noteworthy artwork here is Alexander N. Samakhvalov’s “Flowering Tree” from 1962, a colorful oil painting with extraordinary radiance as well as Willem Gerard Hofker’s moving Balinese nude painting. The sale will also offer nine Pablo Picasso ceramics, a drawing by Alberto Giacometti and a fair scene captured by H.M. Pechstein during his best creative period.

At 2 pm CET, the big auction day on December 1 will commence with editions and multiples from the liquidation trust of the legendary art advisor Helge Achenbach. This represents the last opportunity for collectors to obtain contemporary works from this renowned source. In this auction, serigraphs from famous artists such as Imi Knoebel, Günther Förg, and Heinz Mack will be going under the hammer.

The Prints & Photographs auction following at 4 pm CET brings together prints, photographs and objects by European and American artists of the 20th and 21st century. The highlights include prints by Francis Bacon, Roy Lichtenstein, and Max Bill as well as photographs by Beat Presser, Wolfang Tillmans, and Douglas Gordon.

On the same day, the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art will take place at 6 pm. A highlight will be an installation from 1991 entitled “My Home – The Flies” by the Russian artist Ilya Kabakov (b. 1933, Russ.:Илья Иосифович Кабаков). This work was exhibited at the groundbreaking exhibition entitled “Berlin – Moskau / Moskau – Berlin” at Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin in 1995. With an estimate of 360.000 Euros, the installation is made of artificial flies hung on nylon strings forming a three-dimensional body in the room, along with a textboard. Other works by Norbert Bisky, Julian Schnabel, and Piero Dorazio will be offered for sale.

Finally, two auctions broadcast live from New York will conclude the Fine Art Weeks with a focus on 19th and 20th century art from Europe and the United States. Impressive works by Henri Matisse, Edouard Bisson, Alexander Calder, and Marc Chagall will go under the hammer in the sales on December 6 and 14, respectively.
