LONDON.- Maddox Gallery, Mayfair announces that it is presenting its Summer Exhibition. What is the gallery’s first annual Summer Exhibition, features new and recent art from some of the most popular artists in Maddox Gallery’s portfolio. Highlights include Bradley Theodore, Illma Gore, Retna, Simafra, Tony Kelly, Robi Waters and Michael Moebius, plus unseen work from artists new to Maddox Gallery including Dan Baldwin, Chris Moon, Finn Stone and Dean Fox.

Illma Gore’s controversial Donald Trump artwork, Make America Great Again is being featured in the exhibition. The piece made headlines around the globe and is one of the world’s most talked about pieces of contemporary art, with thousands flocking to see the original at Maddox Gallery after it was famously censored in the USA. Due to popular demand, Make America Great Again will remain on display throughout the summer.

This seasonal highlight, set across two floors of the Mayfair gallery, is a celebration of the colour and vibrancy of summer. There is a lively international flavour to the programme, with some of Maddox Gallery’s most exciting emerging artists lining up next to established contemporary artists and photographers. Maddox Summer Exhibition 2016 is a must-see destination for art lovers wanting to experience the best of London’s arts and culture happenings over the coming months.

New to Maddox Gallery include Dan Baldwin, Chris Moon & Finn Stone
Contemporary painter and ceramicist Dan Baldwin is at the forefront of the new Young British Artist movement. His mixed media work is magnificently textural, ethereal and poetic, bridging the gap between abstract and figurative by creating images dense with symbols and layers of meaning. Baldwin’s paintings, prints and ceramics have been exhibited around the world. He has enjoyed a stream of critically lauded sell-out solo shows and presented his work in art fairs in Basel, Miami, L.A, Tokyo, San Francisco, London and New York. In 2014 Baldwin collaborated with internationally acclaimed singer Paolo Nutini, creating the record cover artwork for his single ‘Scream (Funk My Life Up).

British painter Chris Moon’s work is anchored in a desire to de-construct and celebrate the minutiae of the everyday. Part abstract, part figurative, Chris Moon is exciting talent in contemporary British painting and has enjoyed recent solo shows in London and New York.

Finn Stone creates artworks by painting onto paintbrushes, transforming the brushes to become the artworks themselves. Stone pays homage to the greatest of painters and their craft, from Van Gogh, Vemeer and Da Vinci by recreating their iconic masterpieces in his signature style.
