George Bellows, The Dock, 15 x 19 ½ in.

NEW YORK, NY.- Eli Wilner & Company is proud to have loaned 18 period frames and period frame replicas to enhance the paintings sold at the Christie's American Paintings Auction on November 19. The sale total was $45,390,250. Among the highlights was Marsden Hartley's Camden Hills From Bakers Island, which sold for $2.3M in a Wilner frame. Other notable paintings in the sale framed by Eli Wilner & Company were George Bellows's The Dock which sold for $1.65M, Georgia O'Keeffe's Grapes No. 2 which sold for $1.3M, Stuart Davis's Autumn Landscape which sold for $750K, and Norman Rockwell's Mathew Brady Photographing Lincoln which sold for $800K.

Eli Wilner & Company is the world's finest resource for antique American and European frames. As a specialist in period framing for nearly 40 years, Eli Wilner has completed 28 projects for the White House and over 15,000 framing projects for collectors and museums.

The frame gallery has recently announced a new risk-free program to provide frames at no upfront cost to consignors of artwork for sale at auction. In order to participate in this program, the owner of the artwork must agree to purchase the Wilner frame, but the payment is only due after the successful sale of the artwork. If the artwork fails to sell, the frame would be returned to Wilner, and no charges would apply. This way the consignor is protected from any framing costs in the event that the artwork does not sell.

For more information, including the Risk-Free Framing program, contact Eli Wilner & Company or visit their website at www.EliWilner.com.
