Artsper, the first website for buying contemporary art online from partner galleries, is now closing a second campaign for a total amount of 1,2 million. Investors include Artspers historical business angels as well as recognized experts in the fields of e-commerce, communication and art.
Founded in 2013 by Hugo Mulliez and François-Xavier Trancart, Artsper confirms investors trust in the high growth potential of the online art market, a phenomenon that both auction houses Christies and Sothebys have acknowledged in their recent reports. Artsper is one of the main player of the art market in France and is now turning to United Kingdom and Europe in order to propose a wider scale of artworks and bring international visibility to its partner galleries.
