Andrea Dasha Reich is an international, contemporary abstract artist. She has been widely collected and recognized for her resin, dimensional art.

For the past 17 years, Andrea Dasha Reich has built her artwork using the unusual medium, epoxy resin. Through these years her work has gone through a variety of change and transitions reflecting the different ways she has learning to use and manipulate the material. Slowly, over time and experimentation, Reich found herself intrigued with a new method, using various types of resin, and has created a technique for building sculptures and adding more 3 dimensional aspects to her art. Reich's artworks, typically compromised of mixed media with multi-layered resin coating, come across as systems that appear highly contingent: movable, variable and changeable.

Reich has been regarded as a master of resin in the upward trending world of resin art. The Czech-born native has been following her creative path as a visual artist with passion since her teenage years when she started her studies at the renowned Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, in Israel. Soon after, she moved to NYC at the age of 20 and started her career designing textiles for high profile fashion industries. Her budding interest in the fashion industry would later find her running her own fashion business and designing her own line of clothing. This early success and travels as a corporate executive and designer in the fashion/textile business, exposed Reich to unusual hand crafts, exotic objects and a variety of colors and textures that later became visually recognizable in her art work. In an essay written by Dominique Nahas (independent curator, critic, art historian and writer) he quotes “The visually loaded and meticulously crafted surfaces the artist works to create post-modern tapestries; they are luminous and complexly interwoven. In looking closely at her work one marvels at how scrupulously worked each of the overlays of resin are that Reich uses to make evident her multitiered pictorialized planes.”

Beautiful and breathtaking with a surreal, almost fantastical quality that is rich with color and texture, the paintings capture the breadth and depth of seemingly unearthly landscapes while almost lifting you to a joyful height of happiness. Her unabashed appetite for color, and the way she orchestrates and weaves the multitude of them together, is something to truly behold.
