A new direction for Paris Photo
Previously Managing Director of PAD (Pavilion of Art and Design) Paris and London, Florence Bourgeois has also held various financial and marketing positions within the LVMH group.

PARIS.- Jean-Daniel Compain – Senior Vice President of the Luxury, Culture and Leisure Division at Reed Exhibitions – has appointed, from Wednesday the 4th of Feburary 2015, Florence Bourgeois as Director of Paris Photo and its twin fair in America Paris Photo Los Angeles.

Christoph Wiesner, has been appointed artistic director for both fairs.

The new directors are preparing the third edition of Paris Photo Los Angeles to be held in Paramount Studios from the 1st-3rd of May.

"For Paris Photo and Paris Photo Los Angeles this new dual direction, both international and talented, is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen the two fairs and explore new territory together, writing a new chapter for Paris Photo (Paris – Los Angeles). They will be able to feed off the dynamics of former director Julien Frydman who left the fair on January the 31st after four years and who this year will be the co-curated of the UNEDITED show in Los Angeles !" --Jean-Daniel Compain

Previously Managing Director of PAD (Pavilion of Art and Design) Paris and London, Florence Bourgeois has also held various financial and marketing positions within the LVMH group. Apart from her experience in business and management in the areas of art, fashion and luxury, she is also an art historian.

Christoph joined the gallery Schipper & Krome in 1997 and then Esther Schipper in Berlin, where he was a collaborator and director to support, promote and distribute the work of (both institutionally and among collectors) young international artists of the 90s. He returned to France at the end of 2012 where he joined the gallery Yvon Lambert in Paris as Senior-director.

Alongside his core work Christoph Wiesner is also a curator, art historian and co-founder of an experimental space for young creators in Berlin.

The list of galleries will be announced in late February.
