Largest Judaica Exhibit in North America

ST.PAUL, MN.-In appreciation for the hospitality the Greater St. Paul-Minneapolis Jewish Community is showing to the Reform Movement during its Biennial Convention, the Judaica Show and Exhibit at the Minneapolis Convention Center will be open to the public free of charge Sunday, November 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The show will feature unique Jewish art and ceremonial objects by nearly 200 skilled craftspeople from around the world, including a dazzling array of jewelry and ritual objects for the individual; lithographs, calligraphy, and paintings for the home; stained glass windows and art work for the synagogue; and modern multi-media art and sculptures made of fiber, copper, silver, gold, and wood suitable for both home and synagogue display. Many of the artists who exhibit come from Israel to participate in what is easily the largest exhibit of Judaica in North America.

The exhibit and trade show is part of the Union of American Hebrew Congregation’s convention at the Minneapolis Convention Center, which will bring 4,500 Reform Jews from across North America and Israel to Minneapolis from November 5-9. While there is no admission fee for the show, visitors will be asked to show a photo ID.

Howard Kaplan and Jean King, co-chairs of the Convention coordinating committee offered this opportunity because they wanted everyone in the Jewish community to benefit from the Convention’s presence in the Twin Cities. They also noted that the trade show is the perfect opportunity to do some early Chanukah shopping.
