LONDON.- Breese Little will be presenting the exceptional collection of over 100 rare and vintage NASA photographs.
Among those bound for Shanghai number many iconic historical firsts, the presentation of which is timely given recent developments in space such as Chinas historical Jade Rabbit landing on the Moon in December 2013 the first successful landing since 1976.
Photo Shanghai features an interview with co-Director, Henry Little, on their
website, outlining why we the gallery is excited about bringing the NASA collection to Shanghai and anticipate the photographs to attract much attention over the fair.
The collection was previously exhibited with the gallery in London (Jan/Feb 2014) to substantial critical acclaim. The gallery will host a new exhibition of vintage NASA photographs, including rare large format prints, from mid-September to October 2014. Entitled Encountering the Astronomical Sublime: Vintage NASA Photography 1961 1980, the exhibition will showcase the natural beauty of vintage NASA photography. This will be followed by the gallerys participation at London Art Fair, 21st - 25th January 2015, with a presentation examining the concept of the picturesque in relation to vintage NASA photography and the work of mid-career Belgian photographer Jan Kempenaers.
