VADUZ.- The future is no longer a promise. The future is threatened and threatening. Wherever we look, crises have taken hold: the financial and debt crisis, environmental and political crises. We function in a system from which we expect nothing, which we even mistrust, and therefore only do those things that appear beneficial to us personally. According to surveys, while the majority of young people are confident about their own professional and private ambitions, they take a negative view of social perspectives and developments.
Goldproduktionen (Seraina Dür and Christin Glauser) take this prevalent pessimism as the starting point to set out in search of trust in the capacity of communities to change and the possibilities of a jointly shaped future. It is an attempt to transcend the narrow circle of individual utility calculus and to create a setting in which together we can ponder the possibilities of the world in which we live.
The Goldproduktionen club has invited twelve Liechtenstein clubs to its mobile clubhouse. There were six evenings of eating, playing, developing ideas, discussing and reflecting on the direction in which we want our living space to evolve. Goldproduktionen presents the visions developed for Liechtenstein 2114 as of 6 June 2014 in a walk-in installation at
Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein. Vereinslokal Utopia invites visitors to take part in the visions developed on these evenings and to think them out en route to a desirable future.
By and with the following clubs: Caritas Liechtenstein, Familienhilfe Balzers, FC Vaduz, Historischer Verein Liechtenstein, Imkerverein, Interkulturelle Bildung, Jugend Energy, Kiwanis, Ornithologischer Verein Liechtenstein Unterland, Schweizer Verein Liechtenstein, Türkischer Frauenverein, Verein Neuraum.
