LAS VEGAS, NEVADA.- Its hard to believe its been 50 years since the untimely death of Marilyn Monroe, but her star still shines bright with millions of fans across the globe who continue to be fascinated by her life, her talent and her beauty. On Thursday, August 2nd,
Martin Lawrence Galleries at The Forum Shops at Caesars will celebrate Monroes life through its distinctive compilation of one-of-a-kind art. Featuring one of the only collections of Warhols famed Marilyn suite in existence, Martin Lawrence Galleries is inviting her legions of fans to visit their 26,000 square foot gallery and view the rare collection, as well as watch her famed movie, Some Like It Hot (being shown on two large screens) and enjoy complimentary glasses of Champagne (Marilyns favorite cocktail).
Warhols Marilyn Suite is probably one of the greatest attractions in the gallery, notes gallery director, Stacie Goulet. Both collectors and fans alike gravitate to our exhibit. While people may have seen these in print version elsewhere, to actually see a suite on one wall in one place is dramatic and rare. We wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate Monroes life through art, so not only will the Warhols be on display, we will be viewing Some Like It Hot throughout the day and welcome our guests (over 21) to enjoy sipping Marilyns favorite drink, Champagne.
While Marilyns iconic Some Like It Hot film will be aired throughout the day, for those wanting to watch the whole movie while in the surrounds of the famed art, Martin Lawrence Galleries will lower the lights and feature a screening of the film at 7 p.m. complete with free popcorn and complimentary champagne.
Since opening, Martin Lawrence Galleries has transformed the burgeoning art scene in Las Vegas. Whereas works of Warhol, Picasso, Chagall, Rembrandt and Erté were once only on display for a very few to enjoy, they are now exhibited daily at Martin Lawrence; a distinctive exhibition space designed for all lovers of art to view, enjoy and purchase. In addition to the masters, Martin Lawrence Galleries also offers exclusive limited edition works by renowned contemporary artists making art affordable for all levels of collectors.
Renowned for offering the finest quality artworks and for maintaining the highest level of integrity and ethical standards in service to their clients, over the last fifteen years, Martin Lawrence Galleries have loaned two hundred fifty artworks to over thirty museums world-wide.
