Filmmaker John Waters introduces the app and its sections, which feature exhibition curator Nancy Spector, who examines Cattelans oeuvre; exhibition engineers and artwork conservators as they tell the story of how the extraordinary installation was created; and more than 20 video interviews with Cattelans friends and associates, some shot by the subjects themselves.
A key feature of the app is an interactive interface using detailed shots of the exhibition model that allows users to zoom in on the installation from four different perspectives, scrolling through and examining works in closer detail. Exclusive footage of Cattelans works being installed in the museums rotunda is also included, as well as conversations with the Guggenheim conservators and technicians who created the armatures for the artworks and oversaw the installation process.
