NEW YORK, NY.- Renowned London art dealer Rebecca Hossack opens a gallery in New York at 262 Mott Street in NoLita – RHG NYC.

Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery was founded in central London in 1988, and has since built up a reputation for exhibiting contemporary art of rare individual vision. The gallery currently has two London sites at 28 Charlotte Street, W1 and 2A Conway Street, W1

The Gallery exhibits across the broad spectrum of Western Contemporary Art, while determinedly moving against some of the dominant currents of the modern art scene. Through the work of painters such as Alasdair Wallace, Helen Flockhart, David Whitaker David Bromley, print makers John Dilnot and Charlotte Cory, embroiderers Kate Jenkins and Karen Nicol, the gallery celebrates and promotes inclusiveness, individuality, spirit, innovation, technical accomplishment and beauty.

PETER CLARK – HOT DOG EXHIBITION

The gallery opened with an exhibition of new collage works by the celebrated British artist Peter Clark.

Clark is a collagist of genius. Over the past decade he has built up an international reputation with his extraordinary creations – arresting images full of wit, truth, beauty and, even, pathos, fashioned from found vintage paper and other collected ephemera. He has exhibited in London, Milan, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Toronto. A book dedicated to his art, Paperwork (London, 2009), is a best-seller.

He is also something of a Manhattan favourite already, having several important works on view in the Crosby Street Hotel in SoHo.
