WAC Presents Visions For The Next Millennium

FAYETVILLE, ARKANSAS.- The Walton Arts Center presents "Visions For The Next Millennium - Wilderness Photography," on view at the Joy Pratt Markham Gallery through March 1. Clyde Butchers large format black and white photographs explore his personal relationship with the environment. The photographs chronicle some of Americas most beautiful and complex ecosystems. The exquisite beauty and depth of his work draw the viewer into a relationship with nature. His images are captured with an 8x10, 11x14 or 12x20 view camera, allowing him to express the elaborate detail and textures that distinguish the intricacy of the landscape. The thirty-seven large format photographs in this exhibition range in size from 36 x 46 inches to seven feet by eight feet. Mr. Butcher has been honored with a number of awards for his photographic excellence including Person of the Week on the ABC Peter Jennings evening news; the Nature Conservancys Conservation Colleague Award and the Sierra Clubs prestigious Ansel Adams Award.
