NEW YORK, NY.- Opportunity Resources Inc. of New York, New York and Los Angeles, California, will be conducting the search for Deputy Director/Director of Curatorial Affairs for the Corning Museum of Glass.
The Corning Museum of Glass houses the worlds largest, most comprehensive collection of glass, containing 45,000 objects in an architecturally stunning campus in the town of Corning in New York State, USA.
In 2009 the Museum welcomed over 350,000 visitors to its 167,000 s.f. facility. In addition to the expansive galleries are the 18,000 s.f. GlassMarket and the Glass Innovation Center, an interactive and interpretive exhibit on the science and technology of glass and glassmaking, the Rakow Research Library, the worlds library of record on glass, and The Studio, a hands-on facility for teaching glassmaking with working space for professional glassmakers.
The Museum operates with a $34 million budget and a staff of 130, with a library and acquisition budget of $1.7 million and a curatorial, exhibition and research budget of $2 million.
Position
The Deputy Director/Director of Curatorial Affairs is a member of the Museums Senior Leadership Team and represents the Museum at national and international professional meetings as well as in the community.
