Guggenheim Launches Kids Club

NEW YORK, NY.- In January, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum launched its newest patron group, the Guggenheim Kids Club, with a special reception at the museum. Kids Club cochairs Lisa Thorp, Kimberly Tighe, and Meredith Verona welcomed over 50 families at the event, all of whom enjoyed interactive art activities led by Guggenheim educators, a private viewing of the Kandinsky exhibition, and refreshments.

The Kids Club offers its members exclusive programs, including private Family Tour & Workshops, experiences with contemporary artists for children, and art-making activities. Parents also receive invitations to attend exhibition opening receptions and occasional programs hosted by the museum’s Young Collectors Council, Patrons Circle, and Education Committee.

At the launch event, cochair Kimberly Tighe remarked, “Meredith, Lisa, and I are all supporters of the museum, and as parents with a deep interest in the arts, we want to have quality art experiences with our families. We realize that there is no better place to gather a community of young art-loving families than at the Guggenheim—and we are delighted that so many other families share our enthusiasm for this new group.”
