MIAMI, FL. Art Miami LLC, a partnership consisting of Media industry veterans Mike Tansey, Brian Tyler and seasoned Art Fair Director Nick Korniloff, has acquired the prestigious Art Miami Contemporary Art Fair from Summit Business Media.
The new partners bring a collective commitment to the long-term growth of the fair, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary December 2-6, 2009. Foremost, the partnership brings financial strength, strong leadership and a serious commitment to quality at all levels. The partners share an understanding of the collectors mentality, insight into the challenges facing todays marketplace, and the marketing expertise to insure the Fairs success in attracting the most important galleries and collectors, said Nick Korniloff, the Show Director.
Art Miami 2009 will once again highlight leading national and international contemporary art galleries and institutions, special exhibitions and curatorial projects, outdoor sculptures and video installations. In continuing to demonstrate its commitment to Miami as an art destination, Art Miami is also renewing its agreement with the Midtown Miami Arts District to host the Fair in the same location as last year for the next three years.
Art Miami is considered one of the most important venues for modern and contemporary art in the U.S. and serves as Miamis longest running art fair. Reaffirming Miamis position as one of the countrys preeminent art destinations, Art Miami last year attracted 95 major art galleries and more than 32,000 art collectors, enthusiasts and curators. The prestigious Fair is known as the top alternative for galleries that want to participate in the Miami art market during the month of December.
