Dulwich Picture Gallery Recently Received 2 Prestigious Awards and Shortlisted for Another

LONDON.- Two important acclamations for the Dulwich Picture Gallery Website have been announced, including an award from The Interactive Media Council - and the Education department is shortlisted for another award.

Website awards
The Interactive Media Council award for Outstanding Achievement has been awarded to Dulwich Picture Gallery for our new website, built by Reading Room.

It has also been selected by the editors at Encyclopaedia Britannica as a Britannica iGuide site; a directory of the Web’s best sites as determined by the guide’s editors.

Education awards
The Gallery's Good Times: Art for Older People programme has been shortlisted for a Sustainable City Award.

The programme reaches out to isolated older people in the community, providing art workshops, gallery tours and talks, all designed to enhance self-esteem and encourage creativity; using art to combat loneliness and inertia in a stimulating social situation.

The awards will be judged on by a panel of respected environmental and sustainability experts and the ceremnoy will take place on 19 February at Mansion House, the Lord Mayor’s official residence.
