LONDON.- The Elms Lesters Book, a 25th anniversary limited edition book, showcasing the very best exhibitions and artists from one of the most exciting galleries in the world will be accompanied by major exhibition December 5th – 20th. From Adam Neate to Stash, this superlative volume presents some of the most exciting international contemporary artists of the age and provides documentation of an art historical moment Nearly two years in the making, and with almost 600 images printed across 500 pages, this monumental, hardbound and boxed limited edition book covers 17 selected exhibitions and the work of fourteen of the most high profile contemporary artists: Adam Neate, José Parlá, Phil Frost, Anthony Lister, Andrew McAttee, Futura, James Marshall (Dalek), Boris Tellegen (DELTA), Mark Dean Veca, Ron English, Space Invader, Snug, Stash, and WK Interact.

A visual feast of counter-culture, the works have been beautifully reproduced using the latest technologies and specially selected inks on a variety of different papers. The book is structured with a number of 'mini books' within its pages, featuring in-depth interviews and analysis with each artist by art historian Ben Jones and also includes an interview with Elms Lesters Gallery owner and curator Paul Jones.

The foreword, examining the historical origins of the Elms Lesters Painting Rooms, has been written by editor and writer Mike Von Joel. Published by Elms Lesters, compiled and edited by Paul Jones and Fiona McKinnon and designed by Iain Cadby the volume is intended as a companion to the fine exhibition catalogues produced by the gallery and is limited to 1000 copies, presented in individually numbered boxes. It is an invaluable encapsulation of one of London’s premier contemporary art galleries.

The Exhibition - To accompany this important occasion, a major exhibition featuring work by the gallery artists will run until 20th December. The Christmas exhibition showcases new paintings by Adam Neate, Anthony Lister, Boris Tellegen (Delta), Futura, James Marshall (Dalek), José Parlá, Mark Dean Veca, Phil Frost, Ron English, Space Invader, Stash and WK Interact. Adam Neate, who recently stunned the art world by leaving 1000 paintings on the streets of London has produced his strongest work to date; using his trademark cardboard, he has created complex, sculptural paintings which still retain his unique painterly style, along with a series of Icons inspired by a recent trip to Prague.

Other highlights in the exhibition will be new paintings by Brooklyn based WK INTERACT and by Australian Anthony Liser. Ron English is bringing to show, for the first time in London, some of his classical ‘Kisstory’ paintings; Brooklyn legends Futura and Stash are also sending new works, and a series of large lambda prints by Dutch artist Boris Tellegen, aka Delta concludes the thrilling exhibition.
