No Walls Presents Ben Frost's First UK Solo Show - Crapitalism
Ben Frost - American Business.

LONDON.-Controversial Post Pop Artist Ben Frost will be showing in London in a sensational solo show of new works presented by No Walls. No Walls, the primary source of Ben Frost’s work in Europe, are thrilled to present their inaugural exhibition with a body of new works by the internationally acclaimed Spam Warrior, Ben Frost. The renowned Australian artist explores the darker side of consumerism in his apocalyptic hyper–pop approach. Manipulating the tricks and techniques of the advertising world, Ben Frost creates provocative images that challenge the persuasive messages of the propaganda industry. Using a ‘collage’ style of unlikely juxtapositions, his dynamic paintings are complex mash-ups of popular culture that savagely critique our media and advertising obsessed society. The Simpsons, Hello Kitty, Powerpuff Girls, Pokemon and Disney characters are all layered together in a parody of our modern and neurotic city-dwelling life, depicting Ben Frost’s bizarre visions and sick humour.

“My relationship with popular culture is a love/hate affair. I always feel like vomiting when I’m in the supermarket – but not until I’ve scoured the brightly lit aisles and fondled the colourful packaging and read each and every perky slogan that whispers seductively to me.[…] This is Crapitalism” Ben Frost.

The launch of No Walls with the exhibition Crapitalism, will take place at the Dray Walk space in East London. The recently established company has chosen to adopt a transitory approach to gallery space and will exhibit future, pop-up shows in the best bespoke spaces, both in London and abroad. No Walls is regarded as a catalyst for presenting the freshest talent in Urban Art from across the World.
