FLENSBURG.-The lithograph, 'Terres De Grand Feu', made by Spanish painter Joan Miró was stolen from a private art gallery in the German city of Flensburg, the police informed.
The work of art is valued at approximately $22,000 US Dollars and disappeared presumably las friday or saturday when the center was open to the public. There are no clues to who stole the lithograph.
The work of art, numbered and signed, is exceptional, since few copies exist. The lithograph was framed and placed on the second floor of the gallery. The police have offered a reward for the return of the work of art.
Flensburg is situated in the north of the German state Schleswig-Holstein, on the German-Danish border. After Westerland on Sylt it is Germany's northernmost town.
