EAST LANSING, MI.- Therese Dolan, Professor of Art History, Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia , will lecture on Artworks of the Future: Manet and Music at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, as a part of Kresge Art Museum ’s programming for the current exhibition, The Impressionist Era: Works on Paper. The lecture will be held in 108 Kresge Art Center , adjacent to Kresge Art Museum .

Dr. Dolan is a 19th century French painting specialist whose interdisciplinary research combines the visual arts, music, theater and literature, weaving together artists such as Manet, Bizet, Wagner, Liszt and Baudelaire. Dolan is a recipient of the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching, Art Historians of the Nineteenth Century board member, and past President of the Interdisciplinary Nineteenth-Century Studies Association. She has lectured extensively across the country and at many museums, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This lecture is sponsored by the Department of French, Classics and Italian, MSU, and the Department of Art and Art History, MSU.
