| David Larwill and The Western Desert Artists Exhibition |

NEW YORK.-On Tuesday January 22nd Australian artist, David Larwill, will début his work for the first time in the United States as part of a New York exhibition - ‘David Larwill & The Western Desert Artists – Australia New York 2008’. The exhibition will be open to the public from January 22-25, 11am-6pm. The evening before the public opening, Hon. John Olsen Consul-General of Australia and Lisa Fox, founder of Lf8 Studios will host a cocktail party and private dinner to celebrate the exhibition. The event will offer the best of Australian Wines paired with food by Lever House Chef Dan Silverman.
VB will be served, the Didgeridoo will be played by Dr. Richard Walley OAM and there will be a special performance by The Qantas Australian Children’s Choir.
The show will feature sixteen of Larwill’s recent works inspired by Aboriginal culture, alongside twelve selected Aboriginal paintings from the Papunya Tula Collective in Alice Springs. A forty-eight page catalog highlighting the artwork will be available for purchase. The exhibition will take place at the Stephan Weiss Studio located at 711 Greenwich Street NYC.
Stephan Weiss Studio was once the workspace of artist Stephan Weiss, late husband of fashion designer Donna Karan. The studio is now a center for raising consciousness and inspiring meaningful change in the areas of well-being, cultural preservation and children's empowerment.
