MIAMI, FL.-The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International University presents The Life of a Globe-trotting Curator, a lecture by Lance Fung, on Friday, January 18, at 8 p.m. in the Green Library, Room GL 100 on the University Park Campus. Fung's lecture is part of the Steven & Dorothea Green Critics' Lecture Series, and is free and open to the public.

Fung is known for organizing cutting-edge exhibitions such as Revisiting Gordon Matta-Clark at the Venice Architectural Biennial in 2002 and The Snow Show Preview at UNESCO's Palazzo Zorzi for the 2003 Venice Biennial. He will be the curator of the first international large-scale exhibition of public installationsin Beijing for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. Fung was also chosen as curator for the 2008-2009 SITE Santa Fe Biennial exhibit, which begins in the summer of 2008. When asked about his professional life in the arts, Fung humorously describes it as "total dedication, chastity and poverty."
