EASTPORT, MAINE.-The Two Countries, One Bay Art Studio Tour will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 15 and 16 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Atlantic and Eastern time and features the work of more than 60 artists living along the international coastal border region between Lubec, Eastport and Calais, USA, and Campobello, Deer Island, St. Stephen and St. Andrews, Canada.

One can download a free tour map from www.TwoCountriesArt.com or pick up a copy at participating artists or sponsors. During this free, self-guided tour, visitors can drive or take a ferry to the studios of award-winning fine artists and craftspeople, and experience the distinct international cultures of two countries — eastern Maine, USA, and southern New Brunswick, Canada — while enjoying en route the breath-taking coastal scenery of Passamaquoddy Bay.

Participating artists on the Two Countries, One Bay Art Studio Tour will provide a unique opportunity—to watch demonstrations or try your hand at techniques from glass blowing to wheel throwing to painting; to inquire about the artist’s creative process, or to experience their work in an intimate setting with the chance to talk with the artists directly, in their studios.

Offering a wide range of media, from painting to printmaking, textiles to stained glass, from contemporary sculpture and jewelry, to traditional crafts, you'll find the unique and unusual — an art adventure not to be missed!

This event is organized by the Tides Institute and Museum of Art / CulturePass, (Eastport, Maine), Bertha Day Fine Art and Craft Gallery (St. Andrews, New Brunswick) and Michael Chesley Johnson (Campobello, New Brunswick) and funded by participating artists and sponsors with additional support provided by a grant from the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Maine Office of Tourism.
