MARBLEHEAD, MA.- In what has become an annual event, more than a dozen artists will gather to exhibit their work from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1 and Sunday, September 2, 2007 on the lawns of 280 Ocean Avenue on Marblehead Neck. The rain date for the event is Monday, September 3.

The organizers have titled the event Evolutions ’07, and its offerings will range in style from traditional to contemporary. The exhibited work will include watercolors; oils; acrylics; photography; etchings; prints; sculpture; and ceramics. All works will be available directly from the artists. No mark-ups will be added or commissions taken.

While the names of many of the artists will be familiar to North Shore art lovers, several of the artists have never exhibited their work on the North Shore before. The exhibiting artists will include: Bob Bartlett; Dick Buckley; Carol Dearborn; Rita Donovan; Adam Farber; Richard Gilson; Mark Malloy; Michael Milburn; Kasia Mirowska; Fran Morey; Sara Roizen; Tammy Smith; Julie Vinette; and Mark Wholey.

This year, the Evolutions exhibit has been expanded to include a performance by New Hampshire singer/songwriter, Ted Sink -- plus two short film screenings. On Saturday at 2:00 p.m. "The Wake-up Caller," a Tribeca Film Festival short scripted and directed by 2007 Emmy nominee and Cannes Gold Lion winner, Bryan Buckley, will be exhibited. On Sunday at 2:00 p.m. "What does your soul say?" a thoughtful documentary examining the wellsprings of spirituality will be screened.

"What does your soul say?" was created by local film makers Chip Schwartz, Donald Mettauer and Rolf Solstad. Both the art and the artists of Evolutions ’07 are truly extraordinary.
