Eiteljorg Museum Hosts Second Annual Western Art Show, Sale

INDIANAPOLIS.- Collectors from around the world are expected to attend the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art's second annual Quest for the West® Art Show and Sale, an invitational art exhibition and fixed-price sale featuring some of the nation's top Western artists, including Robert Griffing, Martin Grelle, Don Crowley and Roy Anderson.

Opening weekend activities, scheduled for Friday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, include the art sale, a gala reception, demonstrations and opportunities to meet participating artists. Among the honors presented during opening weekend will be a Purchase Award that will recognize creative excellence and add an important artwork to the museum's permanent collection.

Reservations are required and participation costs $275.00 per person ($200.00 for Eiteljorg Museum members) and includes an exhibition catalog, bid book and attendance at all related events. Tickets are available for individual events, including lectures, the gala reception and a special artists' brunch. The exhibition of artwork will open to the public on Sunday, Sept. 9, and will remain on display until Sunday, Oct. 7. Quest for the West is part of the Eiteljorg Museum's "Fall Roundup," which includes WestFest (Sept. 29), a family-friendly festival celebrating of all things Western, and Buckaroo Bash (Oct. 13), the museum's annual fund-raiser.
