MADRID, SPAIN.- The Prado Museum presents an exhibition of the art collection that Philippe IV acquired after the death of Charles I of England. Almost four centuries after their ancestors Philippe IV and Charles I met in Madrid, Prince Philippe of Spain and Prince Charles of England will inaugurate next Thursday at the Prado Museum the exhibition "The Almoneda of the Century", an impressive exposition, curated by sir John Elliott and Jonathan Brown, which recreates the art collection that arrived in Spain after the execution of the English monarch.
