LONDON.- From 4 to 10 August 2026, Auraland Art, an independent international arts organisation, presented Samsara, a contemporary group exhibition at Somers Gallery in London. Bringing together 23 artists from diverse creative backgrounds, the exhibition explored the cyclical nature of life, the passage of time, and the processes of disruption, transformation, and reconstruction through a range of contemporary visual art practices.

The exhibition took its title from Samsara, a Sanskrit term referring to the continuous cycle of existence, death, and rebirth. Rather than approaching cycles as mere repetition, Samsara considered them as ongoing processes of change, in which established structures are continually disrupted, reconfigured, and renewed. Time, memory, the body, emotion, and social experience intersected throughout the artists' practices, forming multiple narratives around existence, impermanence, and continuity.

Samsara sought to establish a dialogue between the broader cycles of existence and the intimate experiences of individuals. Drawing upon distinct cultural perspectives, personal histories, and artistic languages, the participating artists reconsidered the seemingly stable structures of everyday life, revealing the fragility and uncertainty beneath them. Rather than focusing solely on change itself, the exhibition examined how individuals renegotiate their relationships with themselves and the surrounding world in the aftermath of transformation.

The exhibition was curated by Anqi Chen, with Liyuan Zhou serving as Curatorial Project Coordinator and Huaiyi Du as Art Director. Through a dialogue between diverse artistic practices, the curatorial team developed an exhibition that brought individual expression into conversation with collective narratives. Within this shared conceptual framework, each artwork maintained its distinct identity while contributing to an open and multilayered exploration of the exhibition's central themes.

As an independent arts organisation dedicated to international contemporary visual arts and artist development, Auraland Art actively supports artistic practices across diverse cultural contexts. Through international exhibitions, curatorial initiatives, and cross-cultural collaborations, the organisation creates opportunities for emerging and independent artists to engage with wider international art communities. Its programmes encompass painting, photography, moving image, installation, and other forms of contemporary visual expression, with an emphasis on fostering independent perspectives, artistic experimentation, and meaningful cultural exchange.

Beyond presenting varied artistic interpretations of cycles, transformation, and existence, Samsara reflected Auraland Art's ongoing commitment to exploring individual experience, cultural diversity, and transnational dialogue within contemporary art. Through this London exhibition, the organisation continued to develop the possibilities of international group exhibitions as platforms for artistic exchange, bringing together artists from different creative backgrounds within a shared curatorial vision.
