PARIS.- On Thursday, October 22, 2026, the Prix Marcel Duchamp jury met to select the winner of the 2026 edition from this year's four nominees: Joël Andrianomearisoa, Brognon Rollin, Laura Henno and Josèfa Ntjam.

The jury's deliberations followed presentations of the artists by their respective rapporteurs: Annabelle Ténèze for Joël Andrianomearisoa, Frère Marc Chauveau for Brognon Rollin, Isabelle Renard for Laura Henno and Cédric Fauq for Josèfa Ntjam.

The international jury, comprising ten distinguished figures — Xavier Rey, Claude Bonnin, Akemi Shiraha, Fabrice Hergott, Fernando Arriola, Kader Attia, Berlinde de Bruyckere, Karin Hindsbo, Martin Bethenod and Marie-Cécile Zinsou — has awarded the 2026 Prix Marcel Duchamp to

Brognon Rollin – Born in 1978 and 1980

MFC Michèle Didier (Paris)

David Brognon and Stéphanie Rollin live and work between Paris and Luxembourg. They began collaborating in 2006 following their meeting at MUDAM Luxembourg.

Working across installation, sculpture, video, performance and photography, the duo has developed a distinctive artistic practice in which human experience is both the primary material and the driving force. Drawing on real-life situations—often marked by complexity—they give tangible form to experiences of time, duration and waiting, always in close dialogue with the material realities of a place and its boundaries, particularly in contexts of confinement. Rather than focusing on centres of power, Brognon Rollin turn their attention to the margins—the ambiguous spaces where society relegates those it marginalises or renders invisible.

Although formally rooted in the legacy of conceptual art through its pared-back aesthetic and rigorous methodologies, their work is above all distinguished by an exceptional capacity for attentiveness and empathy towards the individuals and social realities they encounter. Developed through extensive research, social investigation and long-term immersion, their artistic practice is grounded in observation, dialogue and collaborative creation with the people directly involved. By weaving together facts, objects, anecdotes and symbolic elements, they transform reality into layered poetic narratives, creating polysemic works that invite viewers to perceive what lies beneath—or vibrates beyond—the apparent order of the visible.

Their work is held in numerous public collections, including the Centre Pompidou – Musée National d'Art Moderne (Paris), MUCEM (Marseille), The Israel Museum (Jerusalem), MAC VAL (Val-de-Marne), MUDAM Luxembourg, BPS22 (Belgium), the CNAP (France), MAC'S – Grand-Hornu (Belgium), and the collections of FRAC Île-de-France, FRAC Alsace, FRAC Poitou-Charentes and FRAC Lorraine.

"As every year, this 26th edition of the Prix Marcel Duchamp brings together four artists whose practices are remarkably diverse. The curators have brought them together in a compelling, cohesive exhibition, united, perhaps, by a profound attentiveness to the human experience. The jury was particularly moved by this approach, and I would like to warmly congratulate Brognon Rollin, whose conceptually rigorous work addresses confinement, marginality and trauma with rare empathy. On behalf of ADIAF's 300 collectors, I am delighted to welcome all four nominees into the Prix Marcel Duchamp family, which will continue to support them in the years ahead, notably through exhibitions abroad and residencies at Villa Albertine and the Sèvres Manufacture." — Claude Bonnin, Président of ADIAF

"With Brognon Rollin, the Prix Marcel Duchamp recognises a demanding body of work that gives tangible form to what usually escapes our gaze: the passage of time spent waiting, addiction and inner resilience. The work they have created for the museum, presenting these fairground objects through a subtle installation, fundamentally shifts our perspective. It is a quiet yet tenacious statement on human vulnerability and the exploration of our inner lives." — Fabrice Hergott, Director of the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris
